Kate and Travis

This was the last wedding I photographed before having some time off to have my baby so it’s with great pleasure that I share it with you now. Kate and Travis were married at the picturesque Stones of the Yarra Valley on the most perfect sunny day in March. Janet Hussey who is one of my favourite celebrants was there to run the show, and I’d like to say big thanks to the wonderful Courtney Horwood for 2nd shooting for me on the day. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves (aka I’ll stop talking now!)…

Lindal and Justin

Lindal and Justin’s wedding was held at The Barn in Wallington. I hear there are only a small number of weddings held at this venue each year so I feel so lucky to have been able to photograph this one. It’s my kind of venue and was a dream to photograph (as were Lindal and Justin, who are as sweet and lovely as they are gorgeous!).

Check out Lindal’s very special Claire Pettibone dress (from Intique and Co). And yes, at the end of the night there was an ice cream van. Timboon Ice Cream – delicious! Perfect for a hot summer evening after a glorious day. Flowerbowl did their gorgeous blooms and Jo Betz was their wonderful celebrant (she is so much fun – I  highly recommend her!).

This wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty, so for more credits check out the feature.

Oh, and that’s Lindal and Justin’s baby boy Alfie in the first pic. I can’t resist a dog in a bowtie!

Jacqui and Matt

Here’s a pretty wedding I shot back in February. I was very excited to be shooting a wedding at the Werribee Mansion again, especially for such a fun and beautiful couple. Jacqui and Matt are Kiwis living in Melbourne, so there were many international guests and that always makes a wedding just that extra bit exciting, fun and joyous. I also had my awesome Kiwi 2nd shooter Courtney Horwood helping me out on this one, so she was there to translate for me too:)

Jacqui looked gorgeous in her Gwendolynne gown, Sue Barnes did Jacqui and her bridesmaids’ beautiful make up, and those pretty and elegant hairdos were all done by the talented Melinda Mckenzie. Sue and Melinda are fantastic and I highly recommend both of them.

I’m looking forward to shooting some more Werribee Mansion weddings next year!

Alex and Adrian

Alex and Adrian’s wedding was the perfect example of how FUN a low key, easy going wedding can be. They purposely kept everything really local which meant we could walk from hotel to ceremony to reception, which provided perfect opportunity for the natural style of portraits I love best.

These two lovebirds made me laugh the whole day, and I still can’t stop thinking about the amazing food served up at their reception, which was held at Bistro Gitan in South Yarra (I do so love a restaurant reception!).  Thanks A + A for a fabulous day!

Alex and Adrian’s team:

Hair and Make up: Dante Amato

Tania and Jonny

Here is a short and sweet collection of photos from Tania and Jonny’s big day which was held last year in the spring. I really loved this wedding, especially the ceremony which was held at St Mark’s in Fitzroy. Not only is the church beautiful and in a fantastic spot in Fitzroy, with plenty of room out front for photos (always a bonus for me!) but the beliefs of the church community are very modern and inclusive. As they say on their website: “The community that gathers at Saint Mark’s Fitzroy reflects human diversity – rich and poor, gay and straight, male and female, single and married, black and white”. If you’re after a church for your ceremony I recommend this one!

After the ceremony we took some snaps around the streets of Fitzroy before heading over to Luminare in South Melbourne, which I always love going back to. Tania looked stunning in her Gwendolynne gown, and of course I forgot to ask Jonny who made his suit but I think you’ll agree he looks super suave!

My favourite little wedding band The Belle Tones provided the music (check them out – Annabelle’s voice is ridiculous! She sings like an angel) and the gorgeous girls at Flowerjar did an amazing job with the flowers, as usual.
