Louise and Ross contacted me almost a year ago to ask if I could photograph their wedding. At the time I had never shot a wedding and had been concentrating on editorial fashion and portraiture. I said yes, because I love a challenge, and their February wedding date couldn’t come quickly enough for me. I was excited!
And it turned out to be a great success. Louise is a talented graphic designer and a very stylish gal and she put so much effort into making this day special, right down to all the little details like Australian native flowers and an old-school typewriter for guests to type messages on. It was held at Boyd Baker House in Bacchus Marsh – a gorgeous 1960s home complete with all the art and furniture of the era. The property is in a bush setting which was just perfect for our portraits.
Louise’s dress was by Australian designer Yeojin Bae and her amazing shoes are by Vivienne Westwood for Melissa (I’m quite obsessed with these shoes!). Her sweet feather hair piece is by Ward & Wylie. Hayley Mac did the gorgeous hair and make up and the native flowers came from Glasshaus Nursery.
