Caroline and Michael have a love of all things literary, so it was only fitting that they should have their wedding ceremony in a library! But not just any library – the iconic State Library of Victoria. I was very excited about having access to the beautiful balcony areas after the ceremony, and it was the perfect bright location for portraits on what was actually a very stormy spring day.
We did have to remember to keep quiet of course, as the main reading room was filled with students cramming for exams. They didn’t seem to mind the interruption however. It’s not every day you see a wedding party traipsing through a library!
Something that really jumped out at me from the beginning of the day was the beautiful spring colour palette Caroline had chosen – bright yellows with icy greys and silvers. Again, perfectly spring.
The reception was held at fortyfivedownstairs – a super cool theatre and gallery space that Caroline and Michael transformed into a warm, vibrant party space. The gorgeous floral arrangements were by Soil.
Caroline and Michael, thanks for having me there on your big day!
